... as well. Guy goes to a lot of trouble to make this meal special, and it's always exciting to see what wonderful new concoction she's produced. She was making little desserts every day, but I got the feeling that this was mainly for my benifit, so I explained that I really didn't need the calories - and she's stopped. She says that we all need to slim down in preparation for all the eating that will take place in December.

She and her husband ...
San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico hilaryford... to add to the school's Day of the Dead altar. Maestra L. explained that it was customary to write your name on a sugar skull before putting it on the ofrenda. In this way when spirits visited the altar they would know who had created the altar for them. Before we headed back to school we stopped by 'flower row', where we purchased marigolds (Day of the Dead flowers), red cockscomb, and baby's breath.

Back at the school, we went to ...
Queretaro, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico biwenyi... the street.

I arrived at my home for the next few weeks: the Queretaro Guest House. I was met at the guest house by M and when she opened the doors I was welcomed by the lively blue and red entry way laden with various plants and ceramic decor. The guest house was much nicer than I had expected for the price and was happy to find that it was clean and quiet as well. The only downside I noticed was ...
Queretaro, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico biwenyi... because we don't have to fit everything in in one week. Sheila was told by the acupuncturist about the "best" restaurant in town that only the locals know about and we found it. It looks great and when Bob and Melinda get here, we will go. At about 9:00 pm, Bob and Melinda arrived and we gave them a tour of the Casa. They were as pleased as we regarding the accommodations. We will look at some plans for the next day when all of us have gotten a good rest.

Friday May 8th

It ...

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico bw6458... my aunt who lives in Canada would be the legal guardian for the children *ones 12 and the other ones 16*. I'm getting worried on how much its costing the airfare cause each time I look on the Internet the airfare prices it gets higher and higher. *note we cant enter the states cause one doesn't have a visa and it is cheaper to travel into the states and then be transfered to Mexico*. Ok well enough ranting. ;) Lets hope I make it to Canada!
San Miguel de Allende, Mexico nrbrown... When someone passes away the fireworks are let off to let the angels know the departed person is on their way. There is so much shopping here, we could probably shop everyday for the 3 months and still not see all the shops. It has got to be the shopping capital of Mexico. There are fascinating boutiques with things from Mexican blankets, metalwork, lanterns in all kinds of shapes, silver jewelery, masks, clothing, purses, pottery, marionettes, and knickknacks. There is some ...
