    ... s actually cheaper.

    The location was really good, away from the highly tourist parts and when walking to the beach there was plenty of small bars and local eateries to satisfy. The room was quaint, had two single beds (that’s all that was available), an air conditioner that sounded like it had a V8 motor and a trickle for a shower. Overall it was a nice stay but we paid too much and there was nothing we could do about it.

    Finally arrived in mexico, flight delayed, bags took ages, customs picked me out to search, finally picked up rental car 6 hours late and it was dark....eek.....driving in mexico in the dark....OMG...we shouldn't be doing this.....bugger let's stay in hotel near airport and lose the first night in tulum.
