... calmer today and less windy, so it's a very smooth motor-sail. Mark and I are sitting on deck, typing and editing pictures to send. We will disembark tomorrow morning and begin our explorations around Ephesus and Kusadasi and will spend 2 nights at the Charisma Hotel in Kusadasi. ... only be for a bed. In the hostels' defense, the owner was brilliant! We required a print off of our ferry tickets so we could prove who we were, which he was more than happy to help with. Additionally, very accommodating and friendly - offering his support wherever possible, and hooking us up with his local 'Apple tea' which was surprisingly incredible! Sorry I can't comment on the town...barely saw the main street!

... geholpen door het technisch bureau als wij het verhaal van ons gelan uit de doeken doen: de keerkoppeling wordt van de motor gehaald en een nieuwe pakking wordt er in de werkplaats in gezet. Bij een temperatuur van 37 graden wordt deze best zware klus in 3 uur geklaard. We hoeven alleen de materiaal kosten te betalen. Maar opnieuw vinden ze dat de schroefas veel te zwaar draait en willen ze dit nog een keer bekijken als het schip op het droge staat. ...

My Turkey
... when moving into regional areas; they still live in apartments blocks, many rundown. there are stray dogs and cats everywhere, even at the sites of various ruins we visited. Apparently, pets are not allowed in the apartments, so the animals live on the streets and I guess essentially become the pets of everyone.
One thing I noticed during my travels is that there is very little graffiti in Turkey.
