Historical Traveler Reviews of Hotel Pollera Krakow

All the reviews are correct !

from Paul053
Fantastic price and location, service and room facilities fine. Its a bargain.!

We would recommend a restaurant 3 minutes walk called the Cherubino, very atmospheric , food cooked over a wood fire, do try the Polish traditional offerings . The cabbage is like you have never tasted before.

Spacious rooms with comfort

from PepperJ
We have just spent 4 nights in the Pollera, and found it excellent value for money. We had two different rooms, one at the beginning of our trip to southern Poland, and another for 3 nights at the end. Both rooms were spacious and had a dining table plus chairs, a sofa, TV with international news channel, and a modern bathroom with bath and shower. The staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn't understand why the local 'inyourpocket' guide stated that the bathrooms were'old but functional' as ours were very modern and smart. So have written to the guide editor. Pollera is also in an excellent position in the old town.

A touch of class!

My husband, myself and our two children (ages 4 and 1) have just spent 3 nights at Hotel Pollera. We had a fabulous time. We stayed in a suite overlooking the theatre (beautiful to look at at night).

The suite was superb with a separate living area for our son to sleep in. Very warm. The bathroom was spotless with plenty of toiletries and constant hot water.

Breakfast was fine, plenty to choose from.

The staff were lovely, made lots of fuss over our children.

Lovely wide staircase with a beautiful stained glass window. Location perfect, just a few minutes walk from the main square.

Would recommend it highly.

Great hotel!

from U2fan
My hubbie and I have just returned from a two-night stay at the Hotel Pollera and we were very impressed:

Great price - we booked online and received a 15% discount, so we only paid approx. £28 per room, per night.

Great location - we had a room (104) overlooking the theatre, which was beautifully lit up at night. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the main square.

Great breakfast - which was included in the price of the room. It was served between 7am and 11am, so we could have a lie-in and still have breakfast! Hotels in the UK take note!

The only downside was that the windows in our room rattled everytime traffic went past the hotel - it got really annoying in the end!

Loved Pollera

from PGore
I stayed 2 nights in October 2004. The hotel was excellent. Thought I am very picky, I can not think of a single complaint. Paid $70/ night (make sure to book on-line to receive additional 10% off)

-- hotel staff very courteous,

-- complimentary breakfast excellent,

-- room (1 bedroom + small seating room),

-- bathroom newly remodeled and very clean,

-- hotel location superb. Only 5 minutes walking from the Main Square!

Could not find a better place to stay.

Fantastic

We chose the Pollera for our five night stay in Krakow. What a fantastic choice. We had a suite which had an amazing view of the Theatre. The staff were very accomodating and nothing was to much trouble. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, the market square, trains attractions are all within walking distance not to mention the excellent food available locally. A must. Will be staying there on our next trip.

Good hotel

This hotel was in a great location. It was very close to the rail and bus stations, so very easy for those transfers, and just a short block from the main market square. The room and breakfast were good. Just make sure you specify your room set up, because my husband and I ended up with two twin beds on opposite sides of the room. We felt like Lucy and Desi for the stay. They also have internet access for their patrons.

The Hotel Pollera is an excellent place to stay. Rooms were immaculate and comfortable. You can't beat the location for seeing the sights of Krakow. Friendly staff and a good breakfest all for a reasonable price.

Enjoyed the Pollera

Just spent 4 nights at the Pollera and was very satisfied. I was given a comfortable, attractive double room for the price of a single and was allowed to check in at 6:15 a.m., after arriving on the night train.

The hotel has lots of old fashioned charm, with a gracious center staircase, French windows, velvet drapes, and is reasonably priced. The bathroom was modern, spacious and spotless. The staff was very accommodating and the location can't be beat, literally minutes from the bus/train station and the town square. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious, altho' my one dinner at the restaurant was very disappointing. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Pollera Hotel - Perfect Location

from A TripAdvisor Member
The best thing about this hotel is the LOCATION! For those of you who know London, just imagine yourself staying in a hotel in Covent Garden - right in the middle of everything!Just returned from a long weekend in Krakow, Poland. Stayed for 3 nights at the Pollera Hotel. Booked a suite which totally lived up to expectations. Very large bathroom with large bathtub, shower, bidet, sink and WC - very clean and plenty of bright lighting. Lounge had double sofa-bed with 2 armchairs and coffee table. Inexpensive mini-bar with lots of clean glasses. Bedroom was large with two long windows opening out to a view of the Opera House. Very warm suite with 3 radiators and fan heating (essential in -15 degree temperatures!) Television, radio alarm clock. Breakfast was average though plentiful. Included in the price, all you can eat buffet. Scrambled eggs can be requested at no extra cost. Would recommend this hotel if you want old-fashioned charm and a great location. Didn't try the restaurant other than for breakfast as there are so many other places to eat in Krakow! Would recommend WENTZL or SZARA on the Market Square. If you go, I hope you enjoy Krakow as much as I did!
