She had lost the home during the Communist years, but it has now been reclaimed and restored with comfortable room in the compact Old Town of Ptuj. ... with many buildings that remind Dianne and I of Austria as mentioned earlier. We walk both sides of a street and then decide to ascend to the castle above the town. It is cheap to go through but not a lot of info provided. We enjoyed the works of art, armour, musical instrument gallery and the originally furnished rooms. We were supposed to stay on a certain route and deviated and were reminded by a tour guide -oops. For an hour and a half we wandered around ...

... despite her earlier worries, she sounds like a natural, although the kids and I have untrained ears of course. All sounds good to us!

Kids and I wind down with a Croatian subtitled movie which is so bad I can't even recall what it was called. But it was in English! Kids are sleeping together in a double bed so we have the usual complaints about needing a divider between them. All in all, a great day despite it being a bit grey.
