    I started the day with a breakfast at the camping at 7am, as I forgot to think about where the sun would rise, and sure thing it had turned my tent into a sauna by 6:45. I then proceeded to set off for Trencin, with the target of making it before noon.     We drop down into a broad valley and take the road towards the Kremnica. In the tour research I had noted a lovely looking hotel, the Penzion Stefanshof. It lies just outside the town of Kremnica in the hills to the east.

    So today was supposed to be the star of the real biking fun, left the Czech Republic and headed into the mountains in Slovakia, the rain has reduced a little but now I'm on the twisties it is still a real pain...I've given up on my plan to ride East through Slovakia, I'm now heading South into Hungary and away from the rain ...

    ... to Slovakia, where snow covered the ground everywhere. Temperature started to reach negative around these areas as we see the ground fully capped with snow in all directions. The stop-by at Banská Bystrica is mainly for lunch and we only visited a small town square filled with Christmas markets. In the center of the town square there is a small soviet WWII Memorial, engraved with the names of the Soviets that lost their lives liberating Slovakia from Nazi Germany.
