This past week friends told us about the big celebration in Cuyutlan and so we decided to check it out. Cuyutlan is a small Pacific beach town one of the closest to Ajijic. Friday night the fiesta began with a Rey ...

... to get him over. Our favorites are the dedicated vendors who persistently balance, push, and pull their carts loaded with merchandise to cross over to the other side. And although their have been times we thought we would have a “piñata breaking ceremony”, as the eatable treats fall down the hill, they have all managed to get to their destination. With or without help. Our neighbor Steve was nice enough to help out one of them. see the photo.
