... had soba and grilled river trout and was treated to cookies by the super nice staff while I waited for the bus back to Oboke. Then There was a boat ride and a mega walk up a hill with creepy ghost statues, chatty oba sans that gave me candy and I even saw a tanuki! Then onsen at the hotel and back for a giant vegan dinner. It kept him healthy (and crazy young looking as my guess was 40yrs or so). He practised this way every day as he loved to make frequent mountain climbing holidays to France or Austria. What a man!! What an inspiration! And he reminded me so much of a Korean man I met in 2007 on a train who read my future in my palms but who also climbed a mountain each day. He was ...

... Shikoku has fewer people living there each year because young folks move to Tokyo or Osaka or any other big town with more work and more things going on. I guess that happens everywhere tho. I just didn't expect a city to be this empty.. Now I'm back at the hotel. Chilling. Thinking how I should organise my backpack so that I can fit everything in it. My wee shoulder bag is going in the bin. Zip broke completely and I don't want stuff to fall out or be too visible just in ...
