Today we stayed on the boat! We enjoyed every minute of it! We were going to go to the beach but, we could see it from the boat. The boat also had amenities the beach wouldn't have ( beer, food, toilets). Maybe we're boring...but we needed a day off after our busy cruise so ...
... sights. On May 20 & 29 2012 an earthquake struck the region causing 27 deaths and hundreds of injuries. We visited the castle which had amazing dungeons as well as well kept frescoes. The cathedral had lots of hanging mesh in case of future quakes. From here we rode a bus to our days destination at Adria. Here we had our sister ship the Ave Maria parked alongside . She is halfway through a tour in the opposite direction.
This morning I woke up at 9:30am. I was feeling about 80% of my best. Hmmm.... I think I will take a break from Midori's for a while.... :\
Me and Simone headed downstairs for breakfast while Davide, slowly, slowly got himself out of bed. The hotel served a decent sized buffet of pastries, breads, jams, coffees, yoghurt, cereal etc. It was really good! Eventually, after 20 minutes, Davide stumbled ...
... my elbow... oops! The man made me another one for free so Davide tipped him. We ran back to the hotel in the pouring rain (it didn't show any signs of stopping). I jumped in the shower immediately and after 2 minutes, the hot water ran out... and eventually the water ran out!!!!! Davide called the reception for me as I had shampoo all through my hair. They said to give it a few minutes as they were fixing the problem. It finally came back on!!! Phew!!!!!

The Ravenna of today is a small town , but has 8 Unesco world heritage sites of Byzantine mosaics. As we all know how I love glittery things so....it was on the list of " must do's".
No cars allowed in the centre and not many tourists , perfect for cycling , we found out ...
