ACAYUCAN is a city in the state of Veracruz, located in the state's southeast, in the Olmeca region. It serves as the municipal seat for the area of Acayucan. Altitude here is just 100m, and the highway across the isthmus, is the shortest and lowest altitude across Mexico (East to West)....also this is where the oil pipeline runs, pumping oil from coast to coast.

Paradise Found

Two weekends ago, Liz and I took a little trip. We found ourselves walking to the bus station nearby before dawn. A sleepy 3 hour ride and we were in the beautiful little town of Catemaco.
