... next week? Well Amanda and I wanted to keep up the momentum of training and eating well, and with Mega Super just down the road we bought up big and cooked up a delicious storm. We had a blender, so Amanda’s glorious green smoothies featured daily and I ate all the quinoa I possibly could ha ha ha - and there may have been a few street side tacos thrown in there too : )

We found an excellent gym close by called “The Gym” that offered a 10 ...

    Playa del Carmen Meeting

A travel blog entry by kalebdickhaut on Jan 14, 2014

Today I walked to the meeting. I wasn't sure how long it would take so I left an hour and a half early. I stopped on my way to have some thing to eat. Found this cheep place called Las Quekas, it was 13 peso's ($1) for a quesadilla. Very tasty and quite large. After that I continued my walk, arriving at the Kingdom Hall an hour early. Seeing as it was hot ...

The rain was really torrential and ...

... final year of math in University, and went to Russian chess camp? I didn't stand a chance. Still, it was a great time. The owner, Carlos, suggested a great salsa bar for us to go to, and he offered to pay the cover. We got ready to go, but then Carlos came to us and told us the price, which confused me since he had offered to pay. 300 pesos each, about $30. Doesn't seem like a lot, but 300 pesos is a lot, especially when Irina had no money. As much fun as I was having, 600 pesos ...

    ... e-cigarettes.

We spent the morning of the 31st chilling out and drove to downtown Playa like at 9 pm to get there for the David Guetta show at the Mamita's Beach Club, which started at 8 and was crowded as you can't imagine. There were 12,000 persons in the club that night to watch the show. We were lucky to find a parking spot like 4 blocks from the club but is probably best to take a cab if you plan to get there after 6pm ...
