I (un)surprisingly arrived to Slovenia knowing nothing about the country, the culture, the language, the people, the climate or the local currency that I was about to spend five days in..though I had heard whispers.
1. The name of the capital city in Slovenia is ridiculously ************ounce (and even harder to spell)

better. Then onto Lake Predil and a stop for coffee and then onto
Italy and drop through a long steep valley then over Nassfeld Pass and back into
Austria - a touch of rain but nothing will dampen today's experience

Today we headed to one of the reasons I chose this trip over the many that travel to this part of Europe - Lake Bled. ... Lorraine had a wonderful time at the small but beautiful gallery of naive art.
From Zagreb we made the long bus haul to Dubrovnik. While a mecca for tourists it is, however, quite magical. We walked the narrow alleyways, we cruised around it and Clare and Lorraine conquered the city wall. Not a bad effort for a woman in her eighties, Clare not Lorraine. We now call her 'Clare of the Wall'.
