Still alive, we traveled back to Salzburg slowly, walked the river by night and checked out the cathedral all while consuming pumpkin soup, chocolate, apple strudel and coffee.
... Stiftskeller St. Peter is cited as one of the oldest restaurants in the world and the oldest in Europe. From here we walked into a square and got some pretzels and had a small break before making our way closer to the fortress. We came across the Petersfriedhof or St. Peter's Cemetery it is the oldest cemetery in Salzburg and it is very beautiful and the graves are very unique with lots of flowers and greenery all around.

... crossed the toad to frolic in a field of flowers with towering german mountains in the background but that turned out to be a mistake because not only was the grass still wet but i managed to drop the fanny pack i'd run out the door with on the way without realising it. So a few interesting notes:
1. Salzburg did the movie and thought nothing of it except that Americans kept coming to the city and weren't interested in Mozart's House but instead wanted to see all the locations the Sound of Music was filmed.
2. The gazebo was brought back to Salzburg so Americans could see it.
