Today we went to Praia A Mare. It's roughly a 2 hour drive from Fagnano Castello up the coast.
We hire beach umbrellas and beach chairs till early afternoon and relax and swim in the beautiful ocean. Praia A Mare also has a blue grotto where you can either take a tour for €5 per person or hire paddle boats like we did for €12 per person and oddly yourself there and jump in for a swim.

That is what I feel like this year. Every start is up up and up again and within 10 mins we are back to being the 3 drips again.....it is so hot and humid! Today's start was a bit different. He organised for ...

We left Stresa on Lake Maggiore in Lombardy at 8.30 am to go to Venice. On the way we stopped at Sirmione on Lake Garda.

The coach had to park outside the town and we walked in. Antonia asked if any of us wanted to go on a speed boat trip around the island so we put up our hands for that. Was a great experience and we saw the Roman ruins and the castle from the sea. He took us along the moat at the end and under the drawbridge ...

... and wonder how they put up with that cold. I sleep two nights on a reclinable seat on a boat, and have such bad cramps and an even worse temper. Imagine sleeping in a damp ****-covered hovel every single night? You only get one shot at life, and those poor souls have been sold so short. Irregardless if they 'put themselves into that situation.' Dave always gave to the homeless, and more than that, he would often chat to them too. Life can be so unfair. I can't not blame ...

... to be flowing from left to right. When you stand in the center, the river appears to flow from top to bottom and when you stand on the left side the river appears to flow from right to left. Such clever people, I can not imagine how they did that. There was a similar tapestry in the Vatican Museum.

When we completed our tour of the palace, we were left on our own to wander through the gardens. Several white peacocks joined ...
