So, over some stuffed churros (stuffed with dulce de leche, the popular caramel conserve!) we decide that we will continue on to Pucon the following day, probably our last stop in Chile for a couple of weeks! Sadly, we weren't able to do what we had been wanting to do here in Chillan...however, we did get to try chorillana (popular in Chile) - remember salchipapa, the fried chips/chopped hotdog dish? Reminded me of Thanksgiving and Christmas. :) After stuffing ourselves, we had tea, and then retired to our rooms for the evening. We were all pretty pooped. Their grandmother putt my heated blanket on for me before I went to bed. She's extremely sweet. Their family was very sweet. Their grandfather asked me a million questions about the US. In the morning we were going to ...

... that toils the Chilean soil.

Back to the car and off to Chillan (pronounced Chee-john), a city 7 times larger than Parral, and it is claimed to be Eliana’s favorite city. Why you might ask, because it has a MALL!! It is around 6:00pm and the streets are dark and rainy and we fly at warp speed. I would like to say that Raul is the worst driver ON THE PLANET, but that would not be true. I would have to say he is the BEST driver. ...
