Apparently, I booked an express room....much cheaper and less extravagant than the lobby where I presented myself to. Our room was across the street on the 2nd floor of a walk-up building....OK go with the flow. Our host spoke in Spanish only and showed me to our 2 twin-bed room reminiscent of an "I Love Lucy" episode...haha. Again...oh well, go with the flow. I went out to the street, waited, flagged down circling ...

... to get back to Puerto Varas, it only cost me around £9 for the ticket. Not bad eh!

We got to the hostel and went straight to the restaurant for some food. This was going to be our final supper together as Tania was catching the bus at 11.25 pm and Luna and Trine were going back to Santiago with Pedro (our driver). Had a couple of beers (as it is Friday night) and got to bed around midnight! Long day ahead of me ...

Couldnt' find anywhere to eat finally a greasy fast food place where I had pizza and Hugh had something called a Kaiser which was two slices of beef with a slice of processed cheese between them, breaded and deepfried. Sometimes complete lack of planning and depending on serendipity works out well and you end up with brilliant adventures in exciting out of the way places. Other tiems you end up in Chillan.

After a long yet absolutely stunning drive and ventureful border crossing we arrived in Termas de Chillan. Rainy Days and Sunday Can't Get Me Down

... to a nearby buffet for a Churasco (pronounced Chew-ras-co). It is their version of a Philly Steak. A mound of carved fried DELICOUSNESS on a Soft Lightly Toasted Bun, and topped with buttery cheese that must have been churned by ANGELS and left in a manger. I could have eaten 3 of them but I settled for one. I count it as a gift from Santa Alicia.
