... 100 steps, and continued to struggle for the whole journey. The guide, while cross, had a lateral sense of humour, and mutterred in english about people taking responsibility for themselves.........fortunately it was only a few of us at the front who heard him, and tried not to giggle.

We got up this morning to rain and low cloud, such that you couldn't see the mountains. We went down to an incredible buffet in the restaurant. Took us awhile to figure the coffee machine out that produces excellent coffee at the push of a button, and you pick which type you want (expresso, cappuccino, etc- but in German so we couldn't figure out what we were getting). ... customers. He only kept 3 local beers, which made Pauls choice easier. Next thing you know, Paul's committed to a weiss wurst and pretzel to balance the weiss bier! Well, thats probably not quite fair, as the description of the locally made wurst was definitely appealing, and I was happy to share his plate. Good choice.

Fortunately dinner was just down the road, next door to our pension.

... out the old part of town. There are two big events on right now. There is the Kitzbuhel Horn Mountain Run, which starts tomorrow and goes for 13 km and climbs over 1200 meters. There is also the Kitzbuhel film festival, but we missed the red carpet event. We had a nice dinner at an Italian Restaurant. Our dinners are coming in around 30 euros, which is pretty good.
