... So fungi grows near tree roots, so there are plenty of trees in a small space in order to get the most truffle production. And there are dogs that are specially trained to sniff out the truffles. Apparently, a couple of months ago, all of their truffle dogs were stolen! Which is awful, but apparently the dog value is thousands of euros, which is why they were stolen.
