Rain, Sleet, Snow, Fog
... it was leaving that very moment. We ran outside to see it departing on its way to Perugia. So now we had to wait another 45 minutes for the next one. We didn’t miss that one, but got back to the hotel well after dinner had been served. Good thing we had had a big lunch!]
So now I’m sitting on the train headed to Rome. It is a beautiful, sunny day. Because of the feast of the Immaculate Conception it will be a bit crazy around the Spanish ...
Leaving Assisi
... more than ample, but most of all it has been the feel of the place we have loved, to use an Australianism from our iconic movie,The Castle, 'the vibe'. Assisi changes every day. Another amazing day in Assisi
... walk, but didn't expect it to be uphill all the way and quite stony. In the end we walked for five hours, pretty much non-stop. Walked back down the road which was much easier. We are getting very fit. Back in Assisi we managed to find a lovely cake shop and delicious cake and coffee. Boy did we have aching legs, but instead of setting ourselves a series of tasks each day or things to see we have been trying to wander and discover the joys of this amazing place. We have been working ...
