The train ride was long and beautiful; it went through the Brenner Pass for the entire trip, passing forests and craggy mountain peaks and medieval castles atop of hills pretty much ...

One of those countries was Italy... barely. I had a a long layover at the Malpensa airport near here on my way from New York to Ghana, and I figured I could just hop on a train, visit the nearest town and then hurry back to the airport in time for my next flight.
