... the tantalizing aroma of our meal seeped into our room. What can i say, i've become a slave for good food. We got dressed and darted to the dining room as fast as our legs could take us. It's another rainy day here in the Gifu region. We are now on the bus headed for Shirakawago, a farming village just 50 mins away. We can't wait to see the old thatched roof farmhouses that have been preserved in this area. These houses are put together without using a single nail and their triangular shape is suppose to resemble buddha hands that are pressed together in prayer. ... ventured next door which was an arts and crafts museum. It too had so many handmade beautiful things. There were also many great things in the shop but unfortunately I didn't buy anything.
