At last we were treated to good views of both the long horned ibex and the shorter horned chamois as we continued our ascent to Col Louvie.

... he take a reward for all his efforts, as he saved the day. Yay for the Frenchman in his crampons!!

We then had the warmest and best tasting hot chocolates EVER in the restaurant with the most incredible views (but now in warmth rather than -10 degrees!). Sam text us again to ask when we were coming back down to Chamonix, as he had a surprise for us. So we finished our drinks and took the Gondolas back to the bottom of the mountain.
