... called to make sure we were ok. It snowed on and off all week and with freezing temperatures it was hard work keeping things clear. The Friday before the family arrived I had a frantic call from Louise to say her chimney was on fire and could Stefan come quick. Poor thing was on her own as Tony was in hospital once again for an operation, this time on his carotid artery. She had called the Pompiers, but because of the conditions it was an hour and half ...

... said Michel, they taste fantastic!), however, we now have 11 and a pile of feathers in the garden – another meal for Clyde methinks.

So what plans for 2015? Maybe we will finally get the walk in wardrobe done in the annexe to our bedroom and I’d like to bring my old MG down now that there is storage for her. Stefan wants to re-build the second half of the tractor engine to make it run better and work on some of his old ...

It was a long 5 hour drive today to get to the Pyrenees but it was worth every minute of it to round a corner and see the snow capped mountains in the distance. We arrived at our campsite at Bagneres de Bigorre just south of Tarbes in the Haut Pyrenees about 2pm and were amazed to see the elusive yellow ball (aka the sun) in the sky….yeee haaa!!

Our campsite is stunning, situated at the foot of the Pyrenees, there are currently only 2 vans staying ...
