... back to the hotel for a relax in the air-conditioning and then took a walk down Ocean Drive. There are over 800 art deco buildings in Miami - so many in fact that the place almost looks like a film set. The buildings are beautiful and the place is packed. The plan was to walk 1.5kms up Ocean Drive and around a couple of other streets and then take a dip in the ocean. We are staying near 4th ...

At Chili's we enjoyed a decent Tex-Mex meal as well as the Coronarita - a combination of a Corona beer and a Margarita. Also great company from Karen, who later helped us go shopping in one of the major malls in this area. The Coronaritas were surprisingly tasty (and potent). Probably ...

... it would be in Miami and be 7+ hours long!! Can they even call it a layover when it's that long? Then it occurred to me!! We have cousins in Miami, and I had promised them (after one too many mimosas) that we would make it out to visit them sometime in 2013. WINNING! I would get to spent time with them AND fulfill a promise made! This was too good to be true...

Needless to say my cousins were gracious enough ...
