    If only our friend on the phone from yesterday could have seen us last night. Arriving late into Milan, we found ourselves some back to back park benches in a triangular shaped park not far from the railway station. Salvaging some cardboard from a nearby fruit shop, we fashioned ourselves a thin mattress and slept under the stars, Wendy and I taking shifts to watch our packs as the kids slept.     Leaving Como also meant leaving Italy, and we passed through a border post situated in the middle of a suburban high street; a bit like having a border control halfway down Stirchley High Street. Geographically, Italy and Switzerland seem intertwined in this neck of the mountains.
