When we got off the train it was easy to find, so we joined the line of people carrying skis, sleds and dressed in snow gear, not many people wearing jeans like us! Got our tickets which was only €12.00 (I had read €60.00) and hopped into a cable car that went for miles,it took 20 minutes to get up the mountain, the ride was fun on its own. Liam was so excited to see white snow ...

Our home dinners have included Coq au Vin, Salmon, Pork Belly (OMG), Rosemary Lamb and a whole range of other gourmet and very diet oriented meals. While we waited about 2 or 3 more injuries turned up, everyone from the mountain. Pretty sure the guy ...

... Oli outgunned me in a Chicken Wing and Nacho eating comp, not once but twice, and we had a burger night with Hannah the instructor. The rest of the time, the boys in the family were hanging around in the apartment in our jocks enjoying the central heating and dining in. The promised snow never arrived, but it didn't bother us in the slightest and we left Zermatt after 2 weeks with nothing but fond memories and a couple of weeks of good skiing under our belt.

We started our day opening our curtains to the majestic Matterhorn!! What a way to start the day!! The splendour of God's creation is awesome!! Had to take photos even though it was -4 deg!! We had breakfast and set off for the Matterhorn with great excitement. We made our way casually to get our tickets for the train up the mountain to view the Matterhorn. When we went to purchase them we found out we got a discount if we ...
