Prague - a trip into history

A travel blog entry by mckbergin

Arrived in Prague from Sydney after 30 hours, quick shower and out for a 3 hour sightseeing trip with Lenka, our guide.
First afternoon was around the old town, Wenceslas Sq, Main Town Sq with Astronomical Clock, Powder Tower and the innumerable laneways and churches which dot the city.
The late afternoon was spent with a beer opposite …

Day 2 - Prag zu Fuss

A travel blog entry by markus.gloor

Bohemia in the Summertime

A travel blog entry by mjprince9

Today was the first full day in Prague, I picked up Omar from the airport and we went straight to the train station to buy our tickets to Budapest, our next stop in two days from now. We have no set plans, just a handful of countries on our list to see before the two weeks together is over.
We then walked around the city, a little cooler …

Great little hotel for old and new towns

Fabulous little hotel right on the edge of the old and new towns. Great location is a 10 min walk to the main square and about 7-8 mins from Wenceslas Square.
Hotel itself is a very modern interior for an old building. Beds very comfortable (though pillows quite soft) and the location is very quiet at night.
Breakfast is very good - wide selection of foods served from 7am.
Hotel fitness centre is small and with limited equipment, but enough to raise a sweat, which is all you really need.
Overall, a very good hotel and one which we'd recommend.
