... the Island in Myrtos. The stops before Myrtos were unremarkable but the drive over there, in a four hour loop, took in some staggering views and both beautiful and bleak countryside. Myrtos is a small town/large village on the sea and has a somewhat cool vibe as lots of back packers stop there to apparently sleep in the beach (although we didn't see any camping on the sand). Last night we had some fun swimming in the pool - Kelly tried to teach chris to float without much success. Over our time on Crete we've met a bunch of people from the Netherlands. The owners of the hotel we're staying at are Dutch, so we think that might be why there are so many Dutch people here. So we've been talking to them about Dutch food and they keep encouraging us to order the croquettes at the hotel, which is a Dutch snack that ...
