Fourth of July In Crete with no fire works :( Today we drove from Chania to Heraklion to our new hotel. The drive took two hour through some beautiful country side that reminded us of California, but without all of the people. After Knossos, we decided to drive about the island for a bit - with a vague idea of making our way to Agios Nicolas. The scenery is quite spectacular - there are huge mountains, lots of rocks, some parts very arid, some parts very green. Today we went on a hike through the hills to a small cove. Once we got there, we went snorkeling and saw tons of little fish. I had never been snorkeling before, so it took some getting used to breathing through the snorkel, but once I got the hang of it I had a lot of fun.
