Our boat was able to move upriver to the border between Slovakia and Hungary overnight, giving us a little more sleep. At 2:15 am we boarded a bus to the airport. At home it's 7:15 Saturday evening. Budapest tour, cruise to Vienna

Budapest highlights then start the 23 hour cruise to Vienna. At 2,600km, the Danube is the second longest river in Europe (after the Volta). It's quite shallow and typically there's only 1.5 m of water under our keel. Before the snow melt, it's too shallow for the cruise ships in Jan and Feb.
