... There are over 50 different ingredients that have not changed from the original recipe that was invented way back when by a woodsman. The lower levels smelled like licorice that was so strong, it was amazing! There were 10,000 liter containers that hold the maturing Jager base (12 months!) then it gets mixed with everything else.

They produce enough gas to basically fuel their entire process on site. There was no steel actually being produced that day but we got to see it being smelted down which was really neat to see. It was so hot in there and there was a lot of dust which was hard for me to deal with sometimes. The huge slabs and ...

The hotel is fabulous (gotta love booking via the net!) and right on the town square reconstucted after the town centre was bombed flat in 1945. Pics will be great.
Hildesheim is the birthplace of my Great Grandfather ( dad's mum's dad) so it's a special place to visit for us.
Now grabbing pizza and trying to find WiFi we can hijack.

Goslar, Lower Saxony, Germany valdellobin... finger on why. I think for me, it's that in Germany everything--and when I say everything, I mean everything, including the trees in the "forests"--is so orderly. Everything is in its place here. I tend to prefer the wild and unpredictable landscapes of the national parks in U.S. or Costa Rica, and even the less than well-planned sprawling urban cities of the States. And, who am I kidding? I much prefer the relaxed approach to the ...

Despite the throng of people the scen**y out of our window was stunning, the ev** increasing amounts of snow an indication of our increasing altitude during the roughly 1 hour run up to the summit of the Brocken. Wernigerode, Germany v1213... was that Ines had watched the beginning of the game to make sure Florian got a fair start and had told him where to put his second settlement but Florian correctly insisted he wanted to put it elsewhere and so he did, against his mother's wishes but it was definitely the right call. I'm telling you, when you look at the kid you know he's thinking. To add insult to injury he would yell "Yes" very loudly and confidently when he drew a card. At first I figured he had gotten the ...
Gottingen, Germany romero... world, and this would have been really cool to show them. My favorite part was the windmill, complete with miller, who took us to the second level, and explained how the grain was ground, and how the entire windmill could be turned by hooking it to oxen and rotating it so it could always take advantage of the wind. Pretty ingenious! Of course we had to end our tour at the attached bakery. The bread was good, but not as good as ...
