... us yet. It was after 3:00. So we headed for the Gelato, then they called. After the football games they had taken a nap. They wanted to meet us to play another round of golf. We stopped at the gelato place and got small cups: Oro d'Oro which was buttery pound cake flavor and Derek got Blackberry.

... Larry and I ordered from the kids/senior menu. Larry had kaisespaetzle and I had a German wiener and small pretzel. Derek had an appetizer of three sausages and kaisespaetzle. Erin had the Jagerschnitzle. They had a pitcher of dunkles and I had a radler. We we were not able to have dessert we were so full.

When we got back to the hotel, Larry and Erin went straight to bed both feeling exhausted. Derek and I stayed up for a little while.

We also stopped at Maryhill Winery to buy a bottle of wine. I chose my favorite, Muscato. Our last stop ...

... A deep clean was long overdue and having the doors and windows open and drawers cleaned out, and the dust wiped away is so refreshing!

It's all part of the departure preparations since it's so much easier to pack and leave when things are decluttered and organized - and much nicer to come back to! So cleaning first, then creating an ongoing list of things to remember to pack (adaptor kit, vouchers and itinerary, ...

So smoky due to the fires! We just wanted to get some air, finding the fresh stuff just south of the US/Canadian border.

We stopped at a fruit stand in Summerland to get gifts. Stopped at the border to give them all of our tomatoes and green onions. Stopped to convert the car's electronics back to miles from kilometers. Finally stopping at Leavenworth for the ...
