... bar. The atmosphere was pretty good here, as many others had found the same as us and decided to bring the party back. Happy hour was still cranking so we managed to save our cash and paid half of what we were in the tents for a stein. We eventually pulled ourselves away from the beer, as we were due to catch the 8am bus to Austria and can't afford to miss our rides this close to the end.

While we were waiting for our table one of the waitress' came out and got her table of guests, her eyes were closed so guessed she was blind or acting the part (it wasn't until the next day we actually read that all the waiters & waitress' are completely or severely blind!!!) After awhile our waiter came out and got us, we all held on to each others shoulders and walked into the darkness.. It was pitch black! ...
... very sick. You have to buy tickets for these big beer tents which are really enormous marquees with very solid facades, they are put up new every year. The area is also used for concerts, the Christmas market and other big gatherings.
But wandering eventually palled so we hopped on a train to take us to the old central city, we had a wander towards the university where Liz and Gary had done a Hitler walking tour a couple of weeks back ...
