... we were so happy. I was a chicken. At school Mr L at his class at each table there was a plate with chocolate on it with a fork and a knife and a hat and napkin. There was a dice and if you rolled a 6 you had to put the hat on and tuck the napkin in your shirt and cut a piece of chocolate and eat it. ... sweet tooth, of course we all kept him company. On our return to Oberstaufen we detoured to the Wieskirche (white church) which is a UNESCO world heritage site. It was built in 1730 ten years after a farmer witnessed a statue oh Christ weeping. Millions of people each year make a pilgrimage to this beautiful and highly decorated Catholic Church. The dome ceiling is painted in pastel tones with murals of Christ's resurrection, the walls are white but with plenty of gilded ...

After packing this morning we popped out for breakfast before heading off to Kufstein in Austria The road wound through some spectacular alpine country, passing by Zugspitz, Germany's highest mountain. Every holiday maker seemed to be taking to the road as many RV's and caravans passed us going in the opposite direction. Many motor bike riders were out for a ride as well. The road eventually flattened out onto the autobahn where ...
