... Pinxos restaurant she, Ev, and Jullie had loved 3 weeks earlier. It was truly amazing and we enjoyed talking with a lovely british couple who now run a B&B in Provence. Judy and the kids had a wet but fun time, as the weather had finally turned south.
I don't really need to tell you what we did do I? Take one part playground, one part beach, and one part sunset and you have a Kramer day in Biarritz.
Judy spent the day with Pierre, a former wrestler and French Olympic wresting coach (he went with the team to Atlanta) who she had met on the train ride a few days ...
Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertownWe spent the morning touring our recently discovered Bayonne with the kids and Judy continued exploring during the afternoon ...
Biarritz, Aquitaine, France kramertownSan Sebastian is a wicked old town, literally full of tapas restaurants, bars and little shops. Our hostel was right in the middle of it all, it was ridiculously loud at night, but nothing wine and ear plugs can't handle. They have all these tapas laid out on the bars and you pick the ones that look good.... sometimes ...
San Sebastián - Donostia, Basque, Spain and Canary Islands sofenjon... had planned to do the tapas thing later on.
After the nap, I wasn't really in any shape for a tapas crawl, but damn it, it still was going to happen! I came to San Sebastian for that very reason, so I was going stuff my face with tapas, even if I had to crawl to a hospital afterward. The whole hostel smelled divine, as the Italian guys made spaghetti amatriciana - I've seen it on menus probably dozens of times before, but never ...
... pieces of jewelry and clothing and I couldn't be happier even though I will probably be broke when I return stateside. Anyway, I am going to finish up this little thought and apologize to anyone who took minutes out of their day to read this disturbingly stupid entry. However, please know that even if any of you did get annoyed for wasting your time, I don't care...because I am sublimely happy. love, Alexandra Chloe
San Sebastián - Donostia, Spain supergrr... you get used to some of the things that seem to impress people in the States so much: the historic structures, the pastoral life, and everything else that makes us come over here. But I can really say that the streetscapes and plazas in San Sebastian are some of the nicest I've seen anywhere in the world, and that looking back at photos really makes me want to go back on a nice warm, sunny day, let the sun heat me up while walking around and taking it all in, and then hit the beach.
San Sebastian, Spain jmdevine... t recyclable. I appreciate that because I really wish we could recycle things at home, but it seems as though there aren't that many things that can be recycled. He says that the US is really behind when it comes to recycling. I agree, but I think we are slowly moving forward. I'm really glad that we have recycling bins around campus. Mike also has a skateboard, which he's practiced with for at least 10 years now. Oh!! I was thinking that there was nothing ...
San Sebastian, Spain ttonnu... in our couchette would bite her nails and hold the ladder every time I went near it. It hurt but everyone was entertained, Jan is still laughing today about it.
So we arrived in Barcelona and NO RAIN. Yipppeee. We started with the erotic museum of Barcelona. Then we just lazed around a park, which we have endearingly named, "the rubbish bin where the flying rats hang out" and ate ourselves back to our hostel. Just today we girls have had Mcdonald's ...
