The restaurant I'm dining at this evening is one called ιπποκα 61;μος meaning seahorse in Ancient Greek. Although positioned on the busiest street near the port, the atmosphere, or at least in my eyes is bliss. Our guide for the day had a well worn book with illustrations that (if we could have seen them through the sea of IPads taking photos) show how it probably was.       Crete-the wine, the food, the hospitality and kitties! Crete is known for the cats-a pretty healthy bunch of semi-feral cats that are all over the island.
