... oldest amphitheater in the world. Before all the ones we have seen so far! We also saw the minotaurs labyrinth. We never knew that the maze actually was the palace. It was a complicated layout! We then went up the mountain to see Zeus birthplace. It is a cave in the mountains. It represents his mother (rheas) womb apparently. The kids thought it was pretty cool. Evan also enjoyed learning about how Aphrodite was born (look it ...

Not as charming as Santorini, parts of it a bit like a non graffitied, tidier version of Athens - not bad but not really amazing either. She glossed over a lot of the dates and figures and just ...

... or spaghetti". We choose chicken, which was an excellent choice. This really felt like a home cooked meal as Maria cooked the food ten feet from us in her oven and brought the salad to our table with the small glasses for wine. All told, for wine, water, chicken, potatoes, salad, raki (geek alcoholic drink) for FOUR people the total bill was only 42 euros. We also had some extra entertainment as across the street at the ...

... of the Minotaur and the labyrinth is supposed to have taken place. We're excited to see it. Then after that we catch a plane to Athens. Greece is having some financial trouble right now, so we plan to be very careful to avoid any demonstrations or protests. But we've been told by everyone we've talked to that we'll be just fine as tourists, and will likely not even notice or see anything unusual. We're looking forward to visiting the ...
