Heraklion is the main city on the Island of Crete. One of those places where it would have been good to have more time. The city itself is modern and uninteresting but it is the gateway to an island that is often spoken of. Time here is short and the weather still not perfect. ... driving cars or bikes down them. Everything was so narrow you couldn't walk on sidewalks (if they existed) because vehicles park on them within a foot of the buildings. Seemed weird the first day but by we were soon all just going around like the locals.
