... lo and behold, we were in the tiny village of Skalni Mlyn, full of hundreds of day trippers out to visit the nearby famous Punkva caves, and eat ice cream!! These caves are part of the Moravian Karst (limestone) system in the Central Czech Republic, a large heritage protected area. The limestone cliffs each side were massive, but we could only just see them as they are covered in what looks like temperate ...

I took us out the wrong road, did an orienteering calculation, back ...

... us to the middle of nowhere Jihlavy station 35 mins from Telc but this time we were lucky enough to make the a 3 minute transfer to the next train. Regardless, all the mainline trains seem to run 5-10 minutes late, so we were in plenty of time to catch the Brno train.

Further down the tack, Czech Rail was experiencing some signal difficulties, so we were transferred on to local buses to bridge the problem. Warm day, no air-conditioning ...

Wednesday evening we supported the local establishments but participating in a pub crawl :) and also showed our tourist side. The pub crawl met under the astrological clock tower which is a huge clock that not only shows the time but aligns with the astrological signs. The crawl was pretty fun, we got to meet some other Americans that were traveling and get to know some of our classmates. It made getting up for the museum ...
