... re used to. No waves and no tidal movement, certainly none that's noticeable. The water is warm and crystal clear. I found myself surrounded by whiting and garfish - a whole new meaning to the well known phrase "swimming with the fishes"!!! The beach was well supported by a very organised crew of about 7-8 souvenir sellers. They seemed to have worked a synchronised rotation of beaded jewellery, sarongs, scarves, dresses, ...
... In yet another place, we could easily have been in Cradle Mountain National Park - complete with Cradle Mountain. The roads are so much better here too - wider, and a lot less traffic, more like Oz than Italy. We could both easily spend a lot more time here and regret that we only have a few days. It is such a big island, with so much to see and do! There are some quite remarkable prehistoric tombs and remnants ...

Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel (5 of his atrocious songs for every one other), with, believe it or not, Bing Crosby thrown in for good measure (google it, Darcy). And wait for it, all in Italian. Around this 3 level dome tower was a spiral staircase with an outer wall forming a dome over the whole structure. Google it. Just mind boggling. You think of bronze age as a bit dumb - not so. They were also seafarers. Travelling to Greece, Italy and Spain.
