We tried to follow along, but there was no Act of Contrition, Gloria or even the first two readings and psalm-- it was almost as if they were acted out by three young men.     ... second course options of pot roast (Michael)) or veal schntizel cordon bleu (me and the kids). Michael and I had a Forrst beer and the kids had milks (first since the plane!!!).     Note from Val: Today we took a guided tour into the mountains east of the town of Obergurgl (up the Gaisbergferner glacier valley) to search for garnets. We were well equipped for the task, with our hammer and chisel borrowed from our hotel. Our guide, Monika, was very knowledgeable about the area, and once she showed us what to look for we were able to spot and collect quite a few nice garnet samples. For ...
