After the museum, we left to the Plaka. The Plaka is just a name for a neighborhood in Athens, similar to SoHo in New York. Here we found what appeared to be the life size version of a kids cardboard box fort. Houses were on top of each other all on a tall hillside climbing to the acropolis. The "streets" were only about 3 feet wide at the largest and came down to around a foot or so at the smallest. Walls ...
... We had a wonderful dinner at the King George, which also has a roof top restaurant. It was another early night as we had a 2:45 am wake up call to start our journey home.
I am glad we had a short time in Athens, we saw enough to get the flavor of the city. It is like,most big cities, clogged with traffic, pollution and many people.
