Over the next three days I visited the big ticket items, spending a few hours at the Musée Dórsay with the likes of Monet, Manet, Van Gogh and Renoir, before moving onto the Arc de Triumphe, Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower (all of which had scaffolding by the way). Ah Christmas! I felt like the entire lead up to the end of the year, to the end of December put a lot of pressure on Christmas. But it didn't disappoint. Even if I missed my family terribly, I think my birthday prepared me adequately for how I would feel being away from family. And I think the anticipation was worse than the actual day because I'd mentally prepared myself. Anyway, gosh I just wanted to be on holiday already, gahh!! I'm not sure if I mentioned this ...

rest. I’m so ready for that. Then one more day and I’m headed home.

Bill and I had a wonderful wine and cheese tour this afternoon in Paris' St. Germain neighborhood!
