... We finished up with Tiramisu, which was yummy. Several bottles of red and white wine also got emptied. On the boat on the way back to the hotel people were singing and dancing in the aisles. About 7 or 8 couples stopped by the bar for a nightcap. This is such a fun group!! Can’t stay up too late though because it’s another early morning departure tomorrow. Sad to say there are only a few more days of this wonderful adventure left to ...

... We found a nice place for lunch down by the water and enjoyed a nice long lunch of pasta and wine. Tonight we are eating out and can pick from a few local restaurants that our tour director has recommended. Had a great meal at our restaurant - perfectly cooked steak and Julie had her favourite rack of lamb. Together with great wine, the evening was a success. ...

Another boat trip back to where the bus was collecting us, and it was off to the Italian Lakes. We went up the coast to Genoa, which is one of Italy's ...

At the resort we met a variety of travelers from across the globe including a group of ladies from New Brunswick, a gentleman with his wife and sister from New York, a couple from Seattle and a party group from Australia. Meeting and sharing stories with other travelers is always a highlight when traveling and this was no exception. During dinner at the resort restaurant, ...

Off To the South of Italy!

... ourselves heading south on the A1 within 20 minutes of leaving the rental parking lot....only having to make one u-turn! Now that is what I call "good" navigating!

As we headed down the A1 toward Naples several notable observations captured our attention. First the Italians all think they are Mario Andretti when behind the wheel of a car. While driving down the freeway around 130 kms per hour, I was regularly passed by cars going at least 20 kms per hour faster than I ...
