      Oysters, Kingfish, Tisrya and many more fish dishes in Karwari cuisine
      Best restaurants: Swetha lunch home, Shruthi sagar hotel

      Returned in Poorna Express AC 3 tier - horrible journey, poor coach, bad service, long dealys.

      Overall: Memorable town of Udupi and Tagore beach at Karwar.

      ... Sun temple in Ujire on the way. Had a peaceful darshan at all 3 places, on way back to Mangalore had lunch at "Ocean Pearl" which I felt is a bit over rated and some dishes were actually expensive than the best sea food restaurants in Bangalore!!       ... Christmas and he tells me they eat vegetarian meals for the whole of December and then on Christmas Day, as a feast they eat meat (chicken). Last Christmas he had to dress as Santa for a day which is a sweltering job in India. He's never seen snow. At 11.00pm, I feel my chances of getting a bed diminishing. I spot a mouse dart under the bed next to me and Akhil doesn't seem in the least bit surprised or concerned about it. I'm sitting on a spare bed so at 12.00pm ...

      Been pretty active in Palolem, Hired scooters, kayaks, went trekking through the jungle, found monkeys, nearly fell off our scooter, got drunk on coconut spirit....spending 1200rps on just spirits hurt a little.

      Not much else to update... still have passports, cards etc!! :D
