      ... road. We arrived in ample time before our flight; the poor Delhi guests had ages to kill at the airport.

      Our flight was to Mumbai and once there we thought we had three hours to kill in the airport. Thankfully our agents had sent out a representative and we were offered the option to have lunch in a local hotel.

      ... Christmas and he tells me they eat vegetarian meals for the whole of December and then on Christmas Day, as a feast they eat meat (chicken). Last Christmas he had to dress as Santa for a day which is a sweltering job in India. He's never seen snow. At 11.00pm, I feel my chances of getting a bed diminishing.       Well it's been NH66 with also a bit of NH17 thrown in but it's certainly been 'interesting' to say the least.       ... Agumbe. Mangalore didn't have any great locations other than few listed beaches but St. Mary's Island boating fascinated me and felt that will be the moment of the trip. Booked hotels/resorts in Surathkal, Udupi & Thirthahalli for 3 nights. The drive plan is to go from Bangalore to Mangalore via Hassan/Sakleshpur and return back from Shimoga via Arsikere/Tumkur.
