Only the Italians could envision and execute the Venetian experience . I say that because it really doesn 't make a lot of sense, but the idea was so wild they did it anyway . We arrived after a drive from Galeratte, so the real tour started on Saturday. Bobbie had a plan, I had a wife with a plan and to the vaporetto (ferry boat ) we walked Directions are always "Two bridges that way" or "One bridge that way ". We took the ferry to Murano, famous for it's glass. ...

It smells bad near the fish market but everywhere else smells great. I don't know if I would drink from the canals though.

  • Marge and I leave the city enriched and wishful to have had more time about the city. We saw so much but missed so much also. I don't regret that in the least just more to find the next time we visit. The relaxed way we visited was just right for this mysterious and wonderful city.

Today I set my sights in the island of Murano, where they make beautiful glass. As I left my hotel I took my first step in the wrong direction. I don't know where my head was at considering I've had the way to San Silvestro stop down pat ever since I got here, but I soon found myself in a street I didn't recognise. No matter, ploughed on and it wasn't long before I spied a sign pointing to Rialto. Took a short stroll over the rialto bridge and found the Vaporetto stop. As I was ...
