We check out the Venice rain radar site this morning. Prediction of rain in the afternoon, evening so we decide to take advantage of the 24 hour Vaporetto tickets we purchased yesterday morning and take a ride around the Island in the daylight following last night's route so hopefully we will be able to see the sights. A short walk to the nearest water station and off we go. Michael is happy taking photos along the way. Venice is quite ...

Venice Day 3 Well the girls have well and truly given up helping me write the blog. Normally we do it together with me typing on my iPhone (hence all the errors) but this hasn't happened since the marathon. I guess it is school holidays. Today we had another lazy morning then went out exploring again. We came across the ...

We left the Italian Alps (aka The Tirol) and visited the town of Bolsano. This town has the best farmers market (Rivaling Campbell's ) but it runs seven days a week. This town had a museum that featured the prehistoric man found frozen high in a local glacier in 1991. The "Otsi" man is a national celebrity and has most of the museum devoted to his discovery and subsequent study. Charlene (always the teacher) was enthralled ...
