Mt. Olympus stands towering over the island of Cyprus reaching 1,952 meters (6,404 ft.). Since Cyprus is at sea level the height of the mountain is the relative increase in elevation. I decided to climb up to the peak of Mt. Olympus today to spend some time alone, to enjoy the beauty of nature, and to just relax and hear from the Lord. The bus ride to the mountain took 2.5 hours being all uphill and in a rickety old Mercedes-Benz van that looked like it was from 1970. I think I ...

Still loafing around Cyprus, spending time on the beach or helping my mate Alex with some building work he does....I'm now not allowed to touch anything glass like.....

I landed in Cyprus at 5 AM a couple days ago and have since already experienced many great areas the Nicosia has to offer. My apartment has a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and three bedrooms. I was lucky enough to get a single room too! The only downsides to the apartment are that the door is practically impossible to open and you can't flush toilet paper down the toilet, so we have to throw it in the trash can next to it...yay.
