A 4am start, followed by a £19 cup of tea and coffee ($35 AUD!!) marked our departure from London. Let the island hopping begin! With some good advice from friends and after flicking through one of the Croatian magazines we found on a train, our next stop jumped right off the page at us - Hvar! We found a catamaran service that traveled daily to some of the smaller islands and booked a ticket on the mid-morning one - with an hour or so of travel …

Onto Brela - well this place is lovely. Small, quaint but enough here that it would be a great place to stay. We even found the resort on the water and believe it or not was only 70 EUR night with sea views and breakfast. Just 40kms South of Split. I guess what appealed to us here was the privacy, shaded walkways lapped by the water, some comforts ...
... the beach, and watched men (both in shape and overweight) in Speedos playing water soccer in the sea. You know I ran up to them, and took pictures of some of that action!!!! Got on the ferry, seems pretty cool, it goes close to the islands, and is offering amazing views.
You know what? This has been almost a complete BS entry with little to no actual information on Split Croatia. You know what else? I’m not Rick Steves (or his son) and PBS will never pick me up ...
