... and walked into the main part of the town. We found a restaurant along the water and had simple pizza and pasta for lunch. Then we walked to our favourite gelati shop at the other end of town and had our fix of icecream. This morning we had breakfast at the hotel– it was quite crowded here. I rang Zia
Nanina and then Libera – to touch base about visiting when Josy comes. Then we
bussed into Verona. We had another little look around but mainly wanted to shop
at the Coin dept store again. I bought a couple of little summery tops (yellow
and black and white) as it is hot. I also bought some gift items. Craig bought
... outside the city walls in 30 AD, something that blows your mind as you're sitting on the same stone steps. The boys just couldn't comprehend such an amount of time and I must say, it's hard myself. Our seats were to the right of the stage, up in the high stone steps. The scene was breathtaking and as the night got darker, the candlelight lit up the stadium. The photos will never do it justice and on a warm, summer night it was the perfect setting ...
