on the hunt for somewhere nice to stay I was heading down a pass when I came
across this little town with what looked like a brand new railway station had
just been built. It also had the line running down the middle of the street

... We started out through the French Savoie and the cheese-making area of Beaufort. A road closure forced us on another interesting “deviation” on the way to Flumet. Morning clouds continued to threaten, but held off all day for another great ride in the Alps over more passes, including a stop at the Italian border at Col du Petit St. Bernard. ... word...Wow. Sure, initially there were questions and nerves and doubt (..and a few more questions). But when our instructions pumped that heavy metal music and brief us within a minute, it only got worse. When we ran off that cliff and flew like a bird though, it was pretty damn spectacular, unbelievable almost. The thrill to fly over the Swiss Alps and take in those 360 views was one that I never wanted to end.

They don't seem to care where they get their kit off and who is there to see it. ... squash the balloon to push the air out" and then Bev had the job of driving the motorised basket slowly forwards as we all heaved the deflated balloon up into it. For a bit of silk full of air that thing was damn heavy!
