Cruising through the alps it was a lovely 21-22 degrees as we passed Greolieres and then across the plateau near Thorenc. Not far down the road we turned right onto a slightly more main road and almost missed the little shop selling local produce - there are plenty of them around, but this one stood out! It is a great way to see the local people and travel at a price commensurate with ...

From the Gorge of Verdon at 500m altitude, we headed down to the coast to visit Avignon, Pont Du Gard and Nimes before driving into Languedoc from Haute Provence.

There was huge traffic jam getting into Avignon, and no parking as there was festivities there, so we headed off ...

After managing the stairs and walking to Gare de Lyon and finding the correct train etc the views were very pretty. It did start raining but we eventually arrived and excitedly found Craig and Terry. Our home for the next 4 days is on Rue Joseph Ranquet in Sauveterre very near to Avignon. It is a gorgeous, spacious old house with magnificent views and a pool. The host has been ...
