... rental about 3:00 for a light snack after three hours of touring. We then walked the grounds and hillside forest area next to the property which provided a great view of the surrounding areas. Monaco was cloudy and grey this morning when we woke. It is November after all. We checked out of the Port Palace Hotel about 10:00 and departed for Provence. The Pont de Gard is the tallest remaining example of a Roman Aqueduct and is only 6 foot shorter than the Colosseum. It is also famous because it appears on the 5 Euro note.
