... wouldn't let me in the casino wearing shorts. They clearly don't realize how hot it is outside.

Everything in Monaco feels spotless and well-maintained. I guess that just comes with being the destination for the super rich. We had only a short time to look around so who knows if that extends to the entire country.

The Carrefour’s is the biggest supermarket I have ever been
to. Think the Warehouse and our big supermarkets combined and then “king sized”
to cover 8 to 10 football fields! Having purchased the necessary baguettes,
pate, cheese, etc for dinner and some breakfast things, that finished our first
full day in France.

Our first stop this morning was the hilltop town of Saint Paul Da Vaunce. A beautiful medieval town with narrow, uneven, cobbled streets. A magical town around 830am with no others around yet but our group. We spent about an hour wandering the narrow streets filled with boutique shops and lots of places to buy sweets such as nougat. Surprise, an at sea day! So, we got the word at dinner last night that a storm was headed to Nice and the port authority closed the port. However, I secretly think that the French authorities found out about my champagne vs cava post and have denied the whole boat entry (I trust my secret is safe with you).
