We were invited to dinner in Nice's suburbs - a large holiday villa at a friend's parents. Very enjoyable dinner and drove back to Cannes after a long day!

Near the top of the hill are bits and pieces of the castle and at the very top you can get a panoramic view of the city of Nice and it's coastline. There was also a waterfall somewhere and I could hear it when I was walking around ...

A travel blog entry by jmuir82 on May 10, 2014

... in we went to the market downstairs to grab some dinner, breakfast fixings and road trip snacks. We both desperately wanted a drink after our train adventure. The cashier said something very fast to Nick in French and handed him back the bottle of wine. Huh? Nick asked for her to repeat in English. In France they cannot sell alcohol after 10PM!!!! You've got to be kidding me. This is the first day of our trip we didn't have wine with dinner. I'm not ready to detox ...
