So even though the French generally make less money than we do in the U.S., in the end it's pretty much the same. They have less money to retire on, but they don't have to worry about medical expenses. Their pensions will even pay for a retirement/nursing home ...

... desk was as friendly as friendly can be and he upgraded us to a private room for no extra cost! We were stunned and quickly agreed and grabbed our bags before the nice man changed his mind. We went from having to share a 6 bed female dorm to having our our bathroom and a tv! Dreams really do come true people.
