... was no point in me taking up the floor if I wasn’t going to be sleeping). I finally began to get tired, and slept for about 30 minutes, but was so uncomfortable that it didn’t last long. I spent a while trying to get comfortable (this included me laying on a backpack, putting my feet into the air, laying across the gap that Katy was sleeping in, and many other attempts) but had no luck. I finally just accepted the fact that I wouldn’t be sleeping much ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France ab10... because you did eat a lot of cheese, after all.
I am doing a great job at staying away from Starbucks, and am quite enjoying drinking espressos instead. I saw people eating fast food at Jardins du Luxembourg the other day, and even I thought it was a wrong thing to do.
Saw the cafe where the filmed Amelie Poulain. And Moulin Rouge. I try to play it cool and not take ...
... I'm doing my Masters in French... Well...I read the news and homework, along with research... Of course it's in French, why wouldn't it be? Ever have the courage to tell your professor off? Like, Gee...you try speaking a foreign language sans accent whilst being extremely congested and constantly coughing up phlem. Kinda gives those French « r »'s a little more feeling, aye? Oh gee, no, you're not incredibly intimidating, I hate speaking up ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France erinkoval... and other interesting things. They even have posters and explanation boards down there. We then went into a real fully operational sewer. It didn't actually smell like I thought it should smell, not nearly as bad as I expected. (Many of the other children on the tour complained a lot about the smell. Merina,Rigel, and I were fine.) The reason that it didn't really smell that bad was because the workers ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France mshulist... ever seen!!! Entrance was free because of the day and time we went, so that was a big plus. All of us were beyond tired, so we really only went to see the Mona Lisa. The Louvre Pyramid was were we entered and that was really neat. I was in awe at how big it was though. If I was an art buff, it would probably take a week to cover the whole museum. The Mona Lisa was awesome to see though; very small compared to all the other paintings, but awesome!! There ...
Paris, Île-de-France, France amy22...
Paris, France cdauphin... It took us 4 hours with breaks to walk all the way through this massive museum!! I think we missed some of it. But the main thing was we saw the Mona Lisa and Aphrodite and so much more. That evening we headed back to the Eiffel tower to get a pic at night. The following day was our last day and we were catching a night train to Barcelona so we had the day to see a few more sites. We headed out to the Musee d ...
Paris, France adbell... minutes. I literally ran into the station onto the platform and straight onto the train as the conductor was making the last call sound. Damn. I hope I never have to run for a train again. Sore for days after. Made it to Paris fairly easily after that. Well I was supposed to be in Paris for only two nights, but we stayed at this really fun hostel, The Three Ducks, and had the best group of people. One of the nights the plan was to be at the top of the Eiffel Tower ...
Paris, France blissmiss... Edellisellä reissullamme vietimme juuri tuolla pidemmän ajanjakson surfaten, joten muistot olivat mukavia. Päivää jatkoimme ajellen Atlantin rantaa ja pistäytyen paikoissa Mimizan, Biscarrose, Lagune Plage ja Dune du Pilat. Dyynit olikin hieno mesta, jossa kiipesimme hiekkasärkälle, missä ihmiset hieman tuijottivat meitä bikineissään lumilautamme kanssa. Valtteri kävi sitten stikkaamassa hiekkaa ja laski alas dyyneiltä. Hyvin meni vaikka luistossa oli ...
Lacanau, France annijavaltteri... and experiment. Here they were the stars.
The following day we took a taxi to the Sacre Coeur, which was of course spectacular for both its white stone frescoes and also for the view over Paris. We did go inside to the cool quiet interior, with the majestic vaulted ceiling, and I was glad we had made the effort. Outside the church is an artist's market where painters offer their creations for sale and sketchers try to persuade you to ...
