Day 23 - The pretty zoo...

... rest is easy hehe. But I managed to find the zoo.

I started walking around, you could take like a tram, but whats the point of that? You miss all the fun! The first thing I saw were monkeys that weren't in their habitat, but decided to climb out hehe how funny. But I did manage to make some great pictures!

After that there were some huge cats, wild cats, some crocodiles, lots of monkeys of all types. One of those actually made a very very loud sound. ...

... butterfly on Kent's hat...that stayed with him for over an hour. So cute...and so considered "good luck" by our cabby.
Next stop was the batik shop where we saw the batik being made and painted and then of course had to buy some shirts for Kent and a scarf for my mama and a dress for me. B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!
The butterfly stayed on Kent's hat all the time we were there...and went with us to the next stop...

... is many wonderful things but I have made her promise me that never should one of those things be a nurse. Never have I seen someone throw up and think what that person needs is food. Bad backs have been treated with long walks and sun burn with twenty mile bike rides in blistering heat so far this trip so I shouldn't be surprised that being violently sick is no reason to not get on a boat.
